The Brief

Diverse School Travel offers expertly planned school trips for all budgets and any group size. They provide a wide selection of itineraries, as well as completely bespoke options.

This flexible, professional approach has led to Diverse School Travel becoming the go-to experts in curriculum-linked worldwide school trips. To keep up with the expansion of the business, they required a fresh new website that would be simple to use as well as optimised to look great on mobile and tablet devices.

Design Requirements

The site needed to be engaging and inclusive, as well as complementing the existing branding.  A well thought out user journey was also necessary to capture as many visitors as possible through ease of use.  Clear calls to action were required to encourage users to request quotes, get in touch, or request a brochure.

Technical Requirements

As Diverse School Travel anticipated a significant portion of traffic to browse the site on mobile and tablet devices, there needed to be several ways for site visitors to get in touch easily, from online chat to telephone, email and quote requests.

The streaming of social media posts was identified as a key requirement to encourage interaction between the brand, website and target audience.

What We Did

The new website was designed to be fresh and engaging, utilising attractive imagery and effective content to promote the school trip destinations and experiences on offer. The intuitive design had the effect of increasing the amount of leads coming through the website.


We created an advanced search function, enabling the user to filter out any unwanted trips by selecting the subject of the trip, destinations and a budget that fits best for them. One of the key requirements for the search functionality was to make sure that the user never gets an empty result. This was achieved by using a hierarchy system that filters out all the options that don't have trips attached to them.
