Dive into 360 video

Improvements in VR viewing on both handheld and fixed devices has increased the amount of 360 video content. YouTube has been supporting 360 video for a while, companies (including car manufacturers) are now jumping on the bandwagon to provide a fully immersive experience. Consumers can also buy cardboard VR headsets to use with their mobile devices, along with high end manufacturers such as Oculus, Samsung and Microsoft.

Here is an example of 360 video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEEIzZ7UjRg

Resolution wars

4K and Ultra HD have moved silently into our lives, with little fanfare - and they are set to become the new standard in 2016. Computer hardware has finally caught up and 4K TV’s are now affordable, so look out for increased content streaming in 4K.

Video ads

According to research the average click-through-rate (CTR) of video ads is 1.84%, the highest CTR of all digital ad formats. Because of this, estimates suggest a record-breaking year for video advertising spend. Video ads here to stay…and become more prominent in 2016.
