Sheffield Hatters scores Hydra Creative partnership

England’s most successful women’s basketball team, Sheffield Hatters, have partnered up with us to revamp their digital presence in time for their 60th anniversary.

Our branding team have worked closely with the Hatters to revamp the club’s logo, with imagery that represents the club’s upcoming anniversary. We have also worked to revamp the team’s sponsorship brochure, which will hopefully encourage businesses to sponsor the team for future entries into the Women’s British Basketball League (WBBL).

Alongside this, we are also transforming the Hatters website, to help aid in fundraising efforts. The new website will be launching in early Autumn.

As a key sponsor for the team, Hydra Creative will be showcased on the player’s kits, on the perimeter boards at the games, as well as mentions on their website and at their all-important fundraising dinner.

Sarah McQueen, Head of Commercial and Marketing at Sheffield Hatters, commented: “We are delighted that Hydra Creative have chosen to support us for the upcoming 2021/22 season. After being forced to miss last season due to lack of funds, we feared the same may happen this year. But with the generosity from local people and businesses, like the team at Hydra Creative, we were able to enter the league for the upcoming season.

“Sheffield Hatters are still in need of vital resources for the 2021/22 season, the most important being accommodation in and around Sheffield, to house our team. If anyone can generously offer help and resources, we invite them to send a message to [email protected].”

Our Managing Director, Ryan Daniels, said: “Basketball has always been a big part of my life, having played at Junior level between the ages of 13 and 17. When I heard that the Hatters unfortunately didn’t get to play in the league last year due to lack of funding and resources, I knew that our staff would want to help.

“With marketing having a critical role to play in raising awareness – particularly for charities - we recognised that we could offer Sheffield Hatters our digital expertise to help support them for the upcoming 2021/22 season and beyond. We are excited to see where their digital transformation will take them.”

Sheffield Hatters are still in need of support for the upcoming season. If you know anyone who can help, please donate or get in touch with the team
