Amy Dixon of Hydra Creative has shared below five top tips to help you give your audience warmth, sparkle and a little gift every now and again.
Christmas is a time to give – share your knowledge with your customers, do you make an amazing Christmas turkey that everyone raves about? Do you know when your favourite shop starts their sale? Tell your customers via your social media channels. I’m sure they’d love to know how they could improve their current recipe/grab a bargain, they’ll certainly thank you for it.
Run a competition – Do you provide a service or sell products? Run a competition on your social media and give it to a lucky winner for free! It could be a trip to your restaurant in January when the Christmas rush is over or even something they could give as a gift to a loved one.
Get your party shoes on! – everyone is human, and everyone loves to celebrate Christmas - even your customers, show people the personality behind your business and take some photos! Whether it is the staff Christmas meal, secret Santa gift giving or an office Christmas party, take a few snaps and put them on your social media (make sure you approve at them first)
Create a Christmas card - Post a card to all of your friends/followers and customers on social media, it doesn’t even have to be a card, it can be a photograph or a video saying Merry Christmas, it may even go viral!
#Hashtagyourchristmas – create a hashtag and use it throughout all of your Christmas tweets, encourage your customers to use it and then you can monitor who is talking about your company.
There you have it, five ways you can make your social media sparkle, I hope you have a fantastic December and good luck for 2016! Let’s make this a great year digitally for everyone.
