Our year started with an exciting client win back in January with the world's oldest football club, Sheffield FC. The football team enlisted our SEO experts, to help them kickstart their Google search rankings.
Our help has already seen big wins for the team's online visibility, with month-on-month traffic increasing by over 3,000 visitors across all search engines. Sheffield FC's SERPs (search engine ranking positions) have also increased, with many keywords now ranking number one, after ranking on the second page just three months ago. Sheffield FC ranks number one for key search terms, including Sheffield football teams, first-ever football team and Sheffield city FC.
As part of our partnership with the football club, our branding can be seen at the 'Home Of Football' stadium.
In July of this year, we started our partnership with the England's first women's basketball team, Sheffield Hatters. Unfortunately, the Hatters charity has been struggling to fundraise due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This has meant the team risk missing out on playing in the upcoming basketball season during their 60th year, due to lack of funds.
Our team wanted to use their digital expertise to help revamp the Hatters’ online presence to help mitigate the risk of not raising enough funds.
We worked closely with the charity to update and revamp the Sheffield Hatters logo to better represent their 60th year as a team. Alongside the new logo, our design team have also created a new brochure for the basketball club. The brochure showcases the many sponsorship opportunities that businesses can take up to help support the club.
We are also in the process of designing and developing a brand-new Sheffield Hatters website, which will be launching at the start of the new basketball season, where Hydra Creative will also be a kit sponsor of the team.
One of our most recent partnerships is with ice hockey champions, Sheffield Steelers, who we are sponsoring for the upcoming 21/22 Elite Ice Hockey League season and their 30th year as a team. The partnership will see us being heavily involved throughout the season, including having our branding around Sheffield Arena, on the team's sports kit, and online through the Steelers’ social media platforms.
