Village Green Events

This month our 'client of the month' is events company The Village Green Events Co. Find out all about their business and who once turned up to an interview dressed as a cockroach!

Who Are Village Green Events and What Do You Do?

We are a Sheffield-based events company who specialise in creating high-end events; from outdoor cinemas, to weddings, festivals, parties and foodie events. We recently set up The Village Screen pop-up cinema to show classic films to the people of Sheffield in quirky locations.

We have screened films on the rooftop of a city centre car park overlooking Park Hill flats and in Ecclesall Woods for Halloween. We also screened The Little Mermaid at Hathersage outdoor pool with audiences floating on inflatable dinghies.

Next up, we are working to deliver 4-days of Christmas shenanigans in a warehouse space at 92 Burton Road (next to Kelham Island). We are screening Elf on Saturday 12th December and Home Alone on Sunday 13th December, alongside Christmas music and street food from CowBoys, The Depot Bakery and Crepe Lucette. There will also be a Christmas jumper competition and a fully stocked bar with mulled wine of course.

We are a key player in the VeryCreative Group; a consortium of five live events companies, many of whom are based in Sheffield. Together, we deliver exceptional live events for some of the world’s most outstanding corporate and entertainment clients.

Describe Your Company In Five Words?

Creative, fun, attentive, friendly, quirky.

What's Your Business Philosophy?

To deliver exceptional events in a friendly, fun and professional way. We want people to enjoy working with us but also to be wowed by the service we deliver.

Describe Your Office To Us?

We all work independently in Sheffield, Oxford, and London but come together regularly for meetings and social events. I have a variety of interesting mugs at the Sheffield office for inspiration, including my Sponge Bob mug which usually comes out on Mondays.

Why Don't You Give Us a Fun Fact About You Or a Member Of The Team?

I was once interviewed in The Times dressed as a cockroach.
