Every month we are bringing you updates on what we have found to be new and exciting within the digital industry.
Cinemagraphs, not to confuse with the standard GIF, are short videos which loop seamlessly. The best cinemagraphs use subtle, minor movement and are composed like a photograph would be. Cinemagraphs can be exported in the GIF format, however the loss of quality when using this format can be unforgivable.
As Cinemagraphs become more and more popular so are the ways we can share them, we can now create HD cinemographs, which can be embedded on to websites and have them loop just like a GIF does. Social media is also beginning to support these more, for example, Instagram automatically loops, making it perfect for Cinemagraph sharing. In the past year we have seen a rise in the use of Cinemagraphs for marketing campaigns, the American TV series 'The Man in the High Castle' has an Instagram full of them!
This isn’t very exciting but it’s something that could benefit your business on Facebook. Verifying your Facebook business page not only shows that it is the authentic page for your business, but it also helps your business appear higher in Facebook search results. To find out how to verify your Facebook page please read our blog post here.
360 degree videos
Have you seen those videos/photographs that are on social media, that when you tilt your phone they move with it so you get a full 360 degree view of the image?
If you have, what do you think of them? If you haven’t, you’re missing out! Check out one of ours here. They’re great, you can really show the user the full experience of the area you are recording or taking a photograph of, this is really good news for the likes of restaurant owners, estate agents and leisure companies who want to show their target audience exactly what they’re all about without the customer even having to step foot out of their house.
Please get in touch if you'd like to find out how having one of those videos can help your business.
